Dimitre Atanassov

Mr. Atanassov holds a Diploma of Graduation from the State College of Music, Plovdiv, Bulgaria and Master Degree of Violin performing and musical education from the University of Sofia, Bulgaria. During his studies Mr. Atanassov become a Laureate of the National Musical Competition for young musicians (The Svetoslav Obretenov) and performed as a soloist with the Plovdiv State Symphony Orchestra and the Sofia Academic Orchestra.

After his graduation Mr. Atanassov won the competition for a permanent position at the Bulgaria State Philharmonic Orchestra in Sofia and later he became a member of the State Orchestra in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He traveled extensively and performed around the world including England, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, United States, Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. In addition he also performed with many prominent soloists as a member of the Villa Lobos Chamber Orchestra, such as Misha Maisky, Shlomo Mintz, Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Ingrid Heabler, Antonio Meneses, Boris Belkin, and Regis Pasquier. Sao Paulo State Orchestra, Brazil. Upon his arrival in Toronto, Mr. Atanassov immediately sought connection to the music community. Since 2003 he is a part of the Ontario Philharmonic Orchestra, Brampton Lyric Opera and The York Opera.
