Julian Fisher

Julian Fisher

Julian Fisher holds a Bachelor of Music in Performance from the University of Toronto. He studied viola with Stanley Solomon and Osher Green. For ten years he was a faculty member at The Royal Conservatory of Music, where he was conductor of two orchestras, the RCM Junior Strings, and the McMaster Hall Strings, a unique orchestra for adult players. Julian is active as an adjudicator in music festivals across Ontario. Mr Fisher has also been a member of the Council of Examiners.

He is the the violist for the Fisher Quartet, which freelances in the Greater Toronto area. He is the co-principal viola of the Hart House Orchestra at the University of Toronto. He conducts two orchestras within the Toronto School for Strings, which Julian and his wife Mary co-founded in 1999.
